Over two thousand years ago, a Roman senator named Cato the Elder wrote down one of the most ancient tapenade recipes survived to this day.
The idea was simple, and it hasn't changed: smash some olives, and add some appropriate condiments. The result not just amazing, but also healthy.
HOW TO USE IT
Try it on pasta, or on steamed seafood fillets, or even better, come up with your own recipe and reach out to tell us what you think!
WHY WE LOVE IT
When you think of it, smashing olives is the exact same principle that make the best cold pressed extra virgin olive oil out there, and the exact same principle that La Macina Ligure applied to make the content of this tasty jar.
What we like about this Tapenade is its rich balanced flavour, pleasantly fatty, that screams for some toasted bread, and a glass of wine, but can also be used in many different recipes.
Plus, of course, it's grown and made in Liguria, Italy.
INGREDIENTS
Taggiasca Olives 60%, extra virgin olive oil, salt (allergens in bold)

ORIGIN
Genuine love and pride for their land and origins are trademarks of La Macina Ligure, starting from the name, to the local recipes they use and hand down through generations, down to the choice of using only locally grown ingredients.
Their mission is to bring a piece of Liguria to your home through the aromas and flavours of their organic products, and we believe they do an amazing job at that.
