Aged Balsamic Vinegar Modena IGP (Yellow Label) 250ml

Il Borgo del Balsamico

The Borgo del Balsamico Aged Balsamic Vinegar from Modena Yellow Label is an excellent addition to your everyday recipes. Pungent in flavour, ideal for salad dressing or any dishes in need of a little extra punch, without overpowering.

Traditional combinations suggest to use this balsamic on raw artichokes and parmesan salads, summer salads, marinades, however should you be looking at something a bit more unusual, then try some drops on tempura or eggs benedict.

Because it is extremely versatile, and it stimulates our foodie fantasy! This is rather liquid in consistence, but the flavour is strong and balanced… once you try it, you will never go back to your previous favourite.

Cooked grape must, wine vinegar. Contains Sulphites. Aged in Oak Barrels (allergens in bold)

Il Borgo del Balsamico has our heart and soul. We had the pleasure to visit their incredible "acetaia" nearby Reggio Emilia a couple of times and were always amazed by the love and care they put in everything they do. To make their delicious balsamic vinegars and condiments, they only use own locally grown grapes and then start the ageing process that will take years before the product is considered perfect enough to reach the shelves. Some of the barrels are over 100 years old and they come with a story too. The video on the homepage is also a testament of our deep connection to Cristina and Silvia. We are incredibly happy to say that this product is a 100% Gold Beetle Certified™.

I'm now a balsamic vinegar snob!

I've always bought the bog standard balsamic vinegar from supermarkets, even though I could tell when having a good quality one at a restaurant or something that it didn't taste as good. I took the plunge and bought this one and I am now obsessed!! I have it every day on my lunchtime salad with a drizzle of olive oil too, and a tablespoon in a ragu just elevates it to the next level! I've now ordered the orange one to try too. Can't wait to taste it!
