Prünent is the flagship of the local Ossola Valley wine production, an ancient type of Nebbiolo born in the mountain: indeed the first document that mentions it dates back to 1309. It is mostly produced with secular ungrafted grapes. This wine preserves the uniqueness and elegance that characterise the wine productions at this latitude.
Cantine Garrone is based in Oira di Crevoladossola in the northernmost part of Alto Piemonte, a small village surrounded by green Alps where the sun always shines.
In this area, vine growers mostly cultivate Nebbiolo or rather Prunent, an old clone of Piedmont’s noble grape variety.
Cantine Garrone applies their knowledge passed down for four generations, culture, tradition and passion In a land where wine production is documented since 1309. And with a lot more stories to tell.
