Type: Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Featured as the best olive oil on the Indy's Best List of the Independent newspaper, this Frantoio Muraglia Red Capri bottle contains one of the finest Italian Extra Virgin Olive Oils. The bottle is hand made and painted by neighbouring family business in the Apulia region, and inspired by the scenery of the Amalfi Coast.
HOW TO USE IT
Ideal with vegetable soups and salads but feel free to explore the taste with different ingredients to find your favourite. It's intense but balanced, fruity with a hint of spiciness, artichoke, dill, hay and fennel.
WHY WE LOVE IT
If you've ever been to Capri, or have seen a picture somewhere, you will understand right away the sentiment of this Orcio (bottle). A red line, going around to the top is evocative of the streets on the little island, there's a little poetry to it! And the content is incredibly powerful and authentic, like only the best olive oils can be.
INGREDIENTS
100% cold pressed Coratina olives.
ORIGIN
Affectionately known as capatosta, a nickname that in Italian means stubborn as a mule, the Muraglia family has been looking after the land and its olive trees for over five generations, down to the tiniest detail. We not only visited their land and mill during harvest, but also the nearby workshop where the beautiful ceramic orci (the bottles) are handmade and painted. Everything at Frantoio Muraglia is state of the art, and this is without a doubt a Gold Beetle Certified™ product.
