Category: Campania, Pasta Sauce, Tomato Sauce
Type: Sauce
Mamma Mia is a natural tomato sauce with fresh aubergine, cut and processed by hand, extra virgin olive oil and a touch of freshly picked basil. A classic Italian recipe from Sicily revived in gourmet version with the taste of fresh aubergine.
HOW TO USE IT
A sauce that sets no limits to imagination, great for dishes like baked pasta, lasagna, or even simple striped macaroni, with the addition of pecorino cheese and glass of red wine. For 3-4 people we recommend the use of the entire jar.
WHY WE LOVE IT
The first time we tried this we actually said out loud "Mamma Mia" before realising that the name on the jar was exactly the same. It has an incredible taste, fresh and intense at the same time.
INGREDIENTS
Chopped tomatoes 73%, hand cut aubergine 21%, extra virgin olive oil, fresh garlic, fresh basil, salt (allergens in bold)
