Made in the heart of the Unesco Heritage site of the Langhe, in Piedmont, Montaldo Wildflower Honey is sweet, with fresh notes. Usually liquid, it tends to crystallize in a natural way. Colour goes from gold to amber red, depending on where the bees work.
HOW TO USE IT
Excellent on bread or just a teaspoon alone. Also great to accompany sweet cheeses such as a Piemontese Toma, a Murazzano or a fresh Asiago.
WHY WE LOVE IT
For its antinflammatory and detoxifying properties, but mostly because we can eat it on its own. A teaspoon here and there just makes us happy!
INGREDIENTS
100% natural honey from wildflower.
ORIGIN
Made and harvested in the Langhe Region, the Unesco Heritage Site in Piedmont, this honey has a story of its own. In June 2018, we were driving around the Langhe with Red, and showed up at Matteo's door completely unannounced. Literally. Nevertheless, he and his family welcomed us, let us taste the different honeys you see here in our shop and Matteo's mum grappa made with cherries' leaves was to die for. A year later, we went back to visit the bees and the hives, which was a fascinating experience in itself. This of course is a Gold Beetle Certified™ product.
The Wildflower honey is delicious and flavoursome. I'm looking forward to trying the other ones. Lovely quick service & a warm welcome from The Red Beetle, and I 'm excited to try more products.
